_{Death of Old Leader:
The Deputy steps forward with the clan gathered round.
Deputy: "We must pay our respects to [leader's name]" looks to medicine cat "[Medcat name], are you ready?"

Medcat:Nods

If the body of the dead leader is not already out in the open, the leader will ask a couple of warriors to bring the leaders body out so that they may 'Share tongues in the sight of Starclan'

Medcat: "[Name of dead leader] was a [trait here] leader. Let us give thanks to Starclan for his/her life. He/she was a dedicated leader to his/her Clan, and his/her memory will never fade from the forest. Now we commend his/her spirit to Starclan; may he/she watch over us in Starclan as he/she did in life."

The cats of the clan go and share tongues with leader one last time while the Medicine cat sits near the leaders head until all the clan have finished. At the first light of dawn the medicine cat declares it's time to bury the dead leader. The members of the clan form two lines for the elders to walk between as they carry their leader out of camp, and the warriors bow their heads when they pass.

New Leader:
Shortly after the deaf of the older leader, the deputy and medicine cat travel to the moonstone so that they deputy may recieve his nine lives from Starclan. When the day is done and the moon appears, the two cats go into Mouthermouth. The medicine cat will remind the deputy that neither of them must speak from this point on until the ceremony is over and they are out of the cave. While in site of the medicine cat, the deputy will bend down and touch noses to the moonstone and fall asleep. The dream will take place at the Gathering area, like Fourtrees. The night sky will be glitteringly clear, the stars seeming to be much closer than usual. Gradually the stars start to move, then shoot down to the ground to show the forms of Starclan Cats. The cats surrounding closest to the deputy should be the cats that had the greatest impact on the deputy's life.

Starclan: "Welcome, [deputy's name]. Are you ready to recieve your nine lives?"

Deputy: "Yes, I am ready."

One by one each cat pads up to the deputy and touches noses with him/her, while reciting the lives given. The life is supposed to be quite painful, 'like the hottest flame and the coldest ice.'

Cat One : "With this life I give you courage, use it well to defend your clan."

Cat Two : " With this life I give you justice. Use it well as you judge the actions of others."

Cat Three : " With this life I give you loyalty to what you know to be right. Use it well to guide your Clan in times of trouble."

Cat Four : "With this life I give you tireless energy. Use it well to carry out the duties of a leader."

Cat Five : "With this life I give you protection. Use it well to care for your Clan as a mother cares for her kits."

Cat Six : " With this life I give you mentoring. Use it well to train the young cats of your Clan."

Cat Seven : "With this life I give you compassion. Use it well for the elders of your Clan, and the sick, and all those weaker than yourself."

Cat Eight : " With this life I give you love. Use it well, for all the cats in your care "

At this point the last leader of the Clan comes up. He/she may speak a few words before giving the last life.

Cat Nine : "With this life I give you nobility and certainty and faith. Use it well as you lead your Clan in the ways of Starclan and the warrior code."

A sigh seems to pass through all the Starclan cats, and they rise to their paws. The old leader stays near the deputy, and signals for him/her to rise.

Dead leader: "I hail you be your new name, [Leader name]. Your old life is no more. You have now received the nine lives of the leader, and Starclan grants to you the guardianship of [Clan name]. Defend it well; care for young and old; honor your ancestors and the traditions of the warrior code; live each life with pride and dignity."

Starclan: All chant the leader's new name.

The dream ends. Neither leader nor the Medicine cat speak until they are out of the caves.

New Deputy:
Leader: "I say these words before Starclan, that the spirits of our ancestors may hear and approve my choice. The new deputy will be [Warrior name]."

All chat to the deputy's name.

....If the former Deputy has died:

Leader: "I say these words before the body of [Dead deputy's name], that his/her spirit may hear and approve my choice. [Warrior name] will be the new deputy of [Clan name]."

All chat to the deputy's name.

Apprentice Ceremony:
Leader: "We are here today to give a Clan kit his/her apprentice name. (To the kit) Come forward."

Kit: Will pad to the center of clearing in plain view for all to see.

Leader: "[Warrior name], you will be mentor to [apprentice name]."

Warrior: Will come forward to the new apprentice.

Leader: "[Warriorname], share your [trait] and [trait] with [apprentice name]. I know you'll train him/her well."

Warrior and apprentice touch noses. The clan congratulates them and shouts the apprentice's new name.

Warrior Ceremony:
Leader: Summons the Clan. When all are assembled, "[apprentice name], come here."

Apprentice: Will move forward to center of clearing.

Leader: "[Apprentice name], it is time for you to become a warrior. I, [Leader name], leader of [Clan name], call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. He/she had trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend him/her to you as a warrior in his/her turn. [Apprentice name], do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend this Clan, even at the cost of your life?"

Apprentice: "I do."

Leader:: "Then by the powers of Starclan, I give you your warrior name. [Apprentice name], from this moment you will be known as [Warrior name]. Starclan honors your [trait] and your [trait], and we welcome to you as a full warrior of [Clan name]."

Steps up and rests muzzle on new warrior's bowed head. The new warrior will lick the leaders shoulder respectfully, then go to stand with the other warriors. The clan will chant the new warrior's name and congratulate him/her.

Renaming Ceremony:
Leader: Summons a clan meeting. When all is assembled the Leader will beckon the warrior to come forward. "Spirits of Starclan, you know every cat by name. I ask you now to take away the name from the cat you see before you, for it no longer stands for what he/she is. By my authority as Clan leader and with the approval of our warrior ancestors, I give this cat a new name. From this moment on he/she will be known as [New warrior name], for his/her [reason for name change]."

Leader will then step down to rest muzzle on warrior's head. The warriors will respectfully lick the leaders shoulder. The clan will shout the warrior's new name.

Dying apprentice made into Warrior:
Leader: "I ask my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. She has learned the warrior code and has given up her life in the service of her Clan. Let Starclan receive her as a warrior. She will now be known as [Warriorname], so that [reason]. Let Starclan receive her by the name of [Warrior name]."

The Leader then bends down to touch her nose to warrior's head.

Elder Ceremony:
Leader: "[Warrior name], is it your wish to give up the name of warrior and go to join the elders?"

Warrior: "It is."

Leader: "Your clan honors you and all the service you have given to us. I call upon Starclan to give you many seasons of rest."

Medicine Cat Ceremony:
(at moonpool/stone at half-moon, medicine cat gives ceremony)

Medicine Cat: "I, [Medcat's name], medicine cat of [Clan name], call upon my warrior ancestors to look down upon this apprentice. She/he has trained hard to understand the way of a medicine cat, and with your help, she/he will serve her clan for many moons. [Apprentice name], do you promise to uphole the ways of a medicince cat, to stand apart from rivalry between clan and clan, and to protect all cats equally, even at the cost of your life?"

Apprentice: "I do."

Medcat: "Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your true medicine cat name. [Apprentice name], from this moment on, you shall be known as [New Medicine cat name]. You have proved to be a true medicine cat [trait if desired.]"

All Medcats: Chant the new Medicinecat's name.

Adviser
Leader:[warriorname], step forward!
Warrior: Comes forward.
Leader: [warriorname], you have shown great [trait1] and [trait2]. These signal the markings of a wise clan member. If I grant you the rank of Adviser, will you swear to use your wisdom for the good of the Clan?
Warrior: I do.
Leader: And do you swear to listen and guide your fellow clanmates, whatever their problems may be?
Warrior: I do.
Leader: Then by the powers of StarClan, I pronounce you the new Adviser for [Clanname]!”
All chant the new adviser’s name.

Chief Hunter:
Leader: Aside from battle, hunting is the greatest talent given to us by StarClan. [Warriorname], come forward!
Warrior: Steps forward.
Leader: You have shown remarkable hunting skills, and have provided your Clan with much prey. Do you promise to pass along your talents, to teach your clanmates the proper ways of hunting?
Warrior: I do.
Leader: StarClan honors your dedication, and with their approval, I name you the new Chief Hunter!
All chant the warriors’ name.

Chief Warrior
Leader: We are gathered here today to name our greatest warrior. [Warriorname], come here.
Warrior: steps forward.
Leader: Your Clanmates have seen you fight, have been by your side in battle, and our enemies have felt your wrath. None could say that you are an unskilled fighter, for StarClan have surely blessed you with the skill. Do you swear to use your techniques to teach our younger clanmates, and to continue to fight for your Clan?
Warrior: I do.
Leader: Then I say these words before our warrior ancestors, that they approve my choice. You will the new Chief Warrior of [Clanname]!
All chant the warrior’s name.}
