A dawn lght showed brightly abover her head as Leafstrike made her way down to the steam.A coll blast of air made her tabby and white pelt fluff up.Stepping into the stream she took a few laps of the cold water.Out of the corner of her eye she saw a mouse running amoung the grass at the edge of the stream.Smiling to herslef she pounced on it and killed it quickly.She found a soft spot in the hard ground of her territory and buried her prey.At the sound of a noise behind her she whipped around and came face to face with a river otter a few tail lengths away.As if not even regestering her it slipped by her and into the water.With a small playful growl she leaped into the water after it.Ignoring the cold she swam after it as it slipped deeper.Noticing her the otter chattered something and disapeared under the water.She followed it.Not seeing well under the water she collided with the bottom sending up a spray of mud.She kicked of the ground and pulled her muddy self out of the water.Satisfied at her appearence she walked over a few tail lengths then dug up her mouse and started eating it.
